This past Sunday, classical music director George Yeh received some much deserved recognition in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
George, who you will notice is perhaps this humble blog's most regular contributor, not only curates an excellent collection of classical music and provides three hours of weekly local classical programming here at KWUR, but is also an avid supporter of classical music all around St. Louis — rarely do I attend an SLSO performance without seeing his face in the crowd.
Check out Sarah Bryan Miller's glowing article here.
Who knew KWUR was so talented? Many of our present and future DJs showcased their super-human skills during KWUR's pre-orientation program. Now, we share them with the world.
Wow! Look at them go. Click through the links to view the videos.
This past Saturday, some of KWUR's most athletic DJs faced KSLU in the annual Kickball match at Tower Grove Park.
We put up a good fight and were even winning for a little bit. Only a few DJs kicked over the ball, to the relief of everyone.
Sadly, KWUR lost. But! We were still the team with all the Mike's Hard Lemonade.
