KWUR Mobile Apps, Part II: now with iPhone goodness

Monday, April 18th, 2011

Hey y'all, looks like Mr. Jobs approved our app, and it's now available in iTunes.  It is identical to the Android app in layout and function, but runs on your fancy iPhone instead.  21st century, it's nice to meet you.

Check out the iPhone app here.

And if you still haven't gotten it, the Android one here.

Here are some screenshots:

All glory to the Hypnotoad Ben Oberkfell for making these apps!

Introducing KWUR Mobile Apps

UPDATE: The app is now live in the Android store!  Get it here:

Good news everyone!  Starting tonight, you, dear listener, can download the KWUR App for Android phones for FREE.  It's relatively basic: it allows you to listen in to our high quality online stream and displays song information (artist, album, song) as well as album artwork.  You can also see what's been played recently.

Here are some screenshots to tide you over, and we'll be back with a link to the app itself when it goes live.  Also, we'll have a free version available for the iPhone as soon as Mr. Jobs deems us worthy.

Credit to Mr. Ben Oberkfell for putting all of this together!

Show Selector, Vol 2

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Time for another round of concert selections, running from now until mid-April.  I'll follow this one up shortly with another that deals specifically with April 21st – 24th, which is basically the best concurrent four days of concerts I've seen since I've come to St. Louis.  Anyway, this Show Selector is dedicated mostly to garage rock, because I fucking love garage rock and there's a ton of it coming our way.  More after the jump.

Show Selector, Vol 1

Monday, February 21st, 2011

KWUR Week is over, we had a blast, but there are so many other great shows coming up in the next few months!  In fact, this is turning out to be a banner semester for concerts in St. Louis, and you really don't have an excuse to miss some of the awesome live music that's coming our way (unless you hate live music, but if that's the case, you're probably not reading this).  Anyway, here are a few shows that I think will be excellent and that you should attend.  Remember folks, it's a positive feedback loop: if more people go to shows, more bands will want to come play here.  YOU can make a difference, and probably get drunk while doing it.
